from last week's trip to Margaret River...
at least 1 fibreglass cow for each building on the main street. lol
we had breakfast at Cowtown Diner. bacon and egg sandwich was $7.
wine tasting at Howling Wolves.
a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon is $15.
the guy in charge was very chatty. he said the region is good for Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
cheese tasting - cheddar with chilli was good!
150g for $5. their milkshake was very good too!
the lady at the cheese place recommended the artisan chocolate place - Gabriel Chocolate.
it was a scenic 20 min drive away, as opposed to the Margaret River Chocolate Company.
this is the guy at Gabriel Chocolate talking about cocoa nibs.
the natural flavonoids in the beans could create the flavor of coconut... amazing.
didn't buy any chocolate but had hot chocolate drinks. pretty good - thick and chocolaty.
so much greenery - it looked like New Zealand. haha
went to Mammoth Caves. $22 per entry!
no mammoths at all though.
just a jawbone.
big cave though. i liked the way the cave starts small and opens up into a huge cavern as we walk in.
at the exit is a cool walk up out of a sinkhole.
stairway to heaven? naw.
nice big sinkhole.
beer tasting at Colonial Brewery. $15!
the darkest one tasted of chocolate and coffee. still not a beer fan though.
went to Cape Naturaliste.
it was a nice walk to the ocean.
you can see whales there in Nov-Jan!
cool.
