nothing much going on with my life over here...




solo

last friday, i thought i might pluck up some courage to join the free tango class - my flatmate and other friend joined it for the previous 2 fridays and said it was fun - but when i turned up at the office, i was the only one... anyway, the office gave me a ride to the venue and there were students, just the 2 tango teachers and the office guy who was their contact. lol - how embarrassing to be the only one to show up and "give support". the office gave me a ride back home.

fish

last saturday, i was at the fish shop... the lady boss wasn't as unfriendly to me as last week - lol, last week she seemed to shoot daggers at me with her eyes right from the get-go - but this week she responded to my greeting. i have to say i'm hopeless with most of the staff at the shop, it seems like they don't like me and i don't know how to get it better. they scare me. so, it was another soul-sucking day.
2 interesting things happened at the end of the day - the uncle boss said he was going to invite all staff to have japanese for his birthday celebration - he told me first because i had to go off the earliest to catch my bus - and i was like, happy birthday but sorry i can't go - duh, because i don't want to hang out with them in my free time, even if there is free food.
the other thing was at the bus stop, the guy i talked to a few weeks ago remembered me. we both live at guild house and took the same bus to work and back home. i wasn't sure it was him this week so i didn't bother to look at him, but when we got off the bus, he talked to me for a bit. it was nice to know that he recognised me.

work today

today, i was at the cafe. it was trying as the boss seemed to be on my case right from the get-go. lol.
i used the wrong plate for the bread roll and provided sugar for chai latte. he said it makes their job difficult when i do stuff like that. huh okay.
it was another crazy busy day, especially since i am the only staff other than the 2 bosses. they caught me slipping when i was deciding whether to keep the lettuce leaf or whether the panini could use more cheese. how unlucky - i still haven't mastered the art of not fumbling about when they are around. but luckily, the end of the day was not as bad as usual because i started washing up earlier since i conveniently forgot one of the tasks the lady boss wanted me to do  - lol apparently i was supposed to ask her to show me how to do it while she was chilling on the couch but whatever, i really forgot - so i was "on top" of things and we could leave on time.
for today's end-of-shift free food - i got 2 sausage rolls, 1 meat pie and an egg sandwich.
ate the sausage rolls and meat pie so now i am stuffed.

now

struggling with my project ... haha i am supposed to be writing my draft dissertation but crazily enough i changed my research topic and now i am still trying to figure out what i am going to do my project on.
so clever. /urgh
