went to Margaret River on a road trip with 2 strangers, 12 - 14 june.
it is study week, the week before exams. SB, who told me about this trip, pulled out last minute because she realised she wanted to study.
so i went with D and B.
D is a very attractive, smart, well-spoken European girl who is passionate about journalism.
B is from up-state New York and likes D and her flatmate very much.
they are both about 21 years old and love drinking.
listened to them (mostly D) talk about politics and relationships.
here are some pictures from my phone. the rest are on camera.
this was not the car we got. but wicked campers distinguish themselves by having unique looking vehicles.
it was about $300 for 4 days.
road trip travelling buddies.
camping gear and wineyard scenery.
i heard the Margaret River area was green, but i was impressed. it was really pretty, not only for the greenery, but for the sheep, cows and horses roaming on the pastures.
we slept in sleeping bags in the tent on top of the car.
it rained on the second night, but the tent was water-proof.
D had suggested a camping trip in winter, and when it was cold, she would joke about who was the crazy b* who suggesting camping.
they bought boxed wine - 4 litres of it for about $12- and finished it. i helped a little.
this one of the shops on the main street. fudge factory.
had free fudge tasting. fudge was actually caramel. it was good. pricey though. 4 packs for $20.
i'll put more pictures from the trip up next time.
