5 april was uneventful. i made garlic fried rice for breakfast then mashed potato and chicken for lunch. and did my homework.
until flatmate told me that she found out where Ewan McGregor's trailer was (he was filming Son of a Gun in Perth) and was going to make a trip down in the evening.
"yes," i said, "i want to go too!"
we took the bus in the early towards the Supreme Court. she explained that she found accounts where fans saw him go into a trailer parked near the Supreme Court Gardens and thought it would be likely for him to be returning from filming in the evening.
we were quite excited at the prospect of meeting him.
on the lookout for anyone resembling him.
we scanned this car park for trailers.
none.
palm trees lining the roads.
the gardens of the Supreme Court.
the bell tower.
the bells ring every half hour.
dude lying in the middle of the field.
not Ewan.
we walked to the jetty because his pictures on instagram and twitter showed him being in boats.
didn't see him.
we headed back to the city.
big roos.
Australians say that if you see one on the road when you're driving, it's better to brake. don't swerve to avoid it. because if one is crossing, there are always more behind it.
we visited Dome.
shared this cake - Bailey cheesecake ($6.95).
flat and disappointing.
thought Ewan may be staying in one of the fancy hotels lining the strip.
didn't see him.
but it was prom night or something, because 5 stretch limos pulled up at the Hyatt with young people in gowns and suits.
