6 mar 2014 - paris and london - 5 - 18 aug

heh heh heh

feeling quite pleased with myself because i finalized the accommodation for the London trip my grandma wanted.
all booked on Airbnb. had to find places with elevator access/on the ground floor.

piggy bank is broken now, but it's okay.

these are for 2 persons (incl. security deposits):

flight via Emirates to Paris, return - S$1876

Eurostar from Paris to London, return - GBP142

3 nights in Paris, 3rd arr. - A$316

8 nights in London, Camberwell - A$1095

1 night in Paris, 10th arr. - A$159
we're going to London via Paris because even with the Eurostar, it's still cheaper than flying to the cheaper London airport. the airline states that minimum stay at the flight destination is 3 days, which is fine with me. haha.
should be fun on the train - it just takes about 2 hours of travel time, goes between Gare du Nord and St. Pancras and includes 2 x 85 cm luggage space.

not sure how traveling with grandma will be since she is not into the same stuff as i am, and we certainly can't do much walking. but i'm going to take her to eat good food and we can rest at nice cafes.

:D yeah it's great that she's so active and cool with traveling!
August will be good for me too so we/i don't have to carry so much warm clothing.

and i hope i can get to read Dr Lewin's physics book someday.

As long as it doesn't require your grandma to do the 'day at the beach' pose, I think you'll be pretty ok.
