after leaving Fotografiska, we saw the star flyer of the amusement park in Djurgarden and were determined to get on that awesome thing!
Tivoli Gronalund, we are coming!
we took the ferry from Slussen like we did last time with C.
but first, an exploration of Gronalund.
it was quite crowded with locals, taking pictures of their kids.
the rides looked quaint but well maintained and well loved.
it was bigger than i expected!
the most surprising part was how this amusement park had so many game stalls where you can win giant versions of chocolate bars and other snacks.
giant version = taller than a toddler.
we had fun just looking at them play.
Stockholm Card gives us free entry into Gronalund but if you want to ride the attractions, you have to buy separate tickets.
the star flyer / wave swinger / awesome thing, called Eclipse, was pretty expensive - 4 coupons at 20 SEK each = SGD 14 for one person.
we queued for 20 minutes at the base of the tower, packed in with the other kids and teens.
bags were put in individual boxes and of course you can't bring your camera unless it was strapped to your body.
we went up 120 meters whilst swinging at a fantastic speed and it was so thrilling and the view was stunning!!!!
everything on the ground, like the rest of Djurgarden and Gamla Stan and the waterways, looked so pretty and small XD
so yeah, Gronalund is a very nice family institution! buy the ticket pass at 310 SEK for a free pass to all the rides.
