Stockholm -day 9 - Stockholms Stadsmuseum, National Museum, Skogskyrkogården,Skyview

Stockholms Stadsmuseum - The Stockholm City Museum
it's right in front of Slussen station.

there were exhibitions on the history of Stockholm as a city, crime and punishment and house designs.

Nationalmuseum - The National Museum (of Art).
the main building, which is in a grand building facing the water, was closed for renovation, so we had to go to the Konstakademien, The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Fredsgatan 12.
of course, we almost got lost, and the entrance was very nondescript.

the stairway had very replicas of famous statues.

Hammershoi.

cute cat.

Skogskyrkogården - The Woodland Cemetery.
it's very famous as a UNESCO world heritage site.
heritage-wise, it's a modern cemetery that incorporates beautiful wide fields, hills, and other landscapes to create a very peaceful place to relax and remember loved ones.

from the gate entrance is this stunning view of paved stones leading to a giant cross, cutting between a tree-lined area and a low hill.

there's a circle of tree on top of this hill. people were mediating there.

Skyview - at the Ericsson Globe Arena.
my mom wanted to go on this since we pass by the station in our daily commute anyway.
it's a ride in a gondola along the side of a giant sphere.

Ericsson Globe Arena was a big complex for shopping, offices, with theaters and a stadium.

we collected our time slot ticket and waited an hour, staring at the gondolas.

they made us watch a short video presentation on its history and some safety tips, before ten of us got into the glass ball.

unlike the Eclipse at Grona Lund, the view here isn't much to shout about. mostly suburbs.
