RSPCA million paws walk

woke at about 5.50am. cycled to the venue. sit-bones still hurt from previous cycling and i had no strength to cycle uphill. it was also about 10 degrees. thought i was going to faint from over-exertion, but reached the park on time in one piece.

 didn't notice the sunrise, actually.
there were about 200 volunteers in all sorts of duties like marshaling, retail and handling bouncy castles. what a big event.
went to food tent to get assigned a duty. was put in sandwich wrapping station. mmmm bacon and egg sandwiches.
admired the small, big, beautiful, funny dogs from the food tent.
was wandering outside the food tent during break and got to take photos of nice white dog.
and nice big dog. super chilled.

also saw Batman, Spiderman, and a Ghostbuster (not pictured).
then the bossy catering girls took over our station and sent me to help fussy old lady and ice queen.
fussy old lady was like, "what are you doing?! no, no, i do this," when i tried to interfere with her mysterious methods of preparing food. geez.
ice queen was young with amazing facial structure, with "i know what i'm doing, i don't care about you" demeanor.
not fun, so i was glad when the lady at the bbq station asked me to handle onions. then i also covered the sausage bbq.
the grill was char black. volunteer-produced food is frankly gross - very greasy with lots of char.

quite a party atmosphere, although i could only look out from the food station most of the time.
big wolf hounds
i like animals. couldn't stop smiling at the sight of so many dogs together :)
the dog show tent. i like how the girl was chilling on the grass with the dogs.

i exchanged numbers with a nice young lady whose parents' Thai restaurant might need staff.
and also talked a bit to the Singaporean(?) girl who handled the egg station.
she graduated 2 years ago and moved over from Brisbane to look for a job in Perth. Perth is less humid and she likes it better here.

then i cycled back at about 2pm and have been having an annoying headache since reaching home. urgh........
