just watched this episode of Anthony Bourdain's new show called Parts Unknown. this one is about Koreatown in Los Angeles.

what a great episode! the food, explanation of "han" & Korean-style punishments, and the intelligence and humor of his K-town hosts. 

Roy Choi - founder of the "Kogi" food trucks.
talked about how K-town defended themselves during the LA riots, brought Anthony to eat Bangladeshi and Filipino food.

David Choe - artist who painted for Facebook and Obama campaign.
invited Anthony to his parents' home for food and amusing awkwardness, painted him in his studio.

it made me miss Korea... and their delicious food...
