it rained this morning. flat-mate said it rains quite often in fall / winter.

 saw this ice-cream truck on the way to class. cute.
 this is a sundae (A$3.50). chocolate sauce needs to be thicker (like Macs).
more food trucks, selling fresh tacos and kimchi pork rice, would be awesome.

class today was the brain-stretching type.
the lecturer/tutor is Dr T, who is terribly clever, and i really enjoy listening to him speak about difficult theoretical discourse & stuff because he's so knowledgeable and personable at the same time.

he briefly talked about doing his PhD on porn, because he wanted to find out why he didn't like it (not sure whether to believe him), and the good thing was that it is the largest collection of pictures out there but is hardly looked into at an academic level.
and he can see a pink label on a drink bottle and think of the layers of culture, history, philosophy and politics behind its use (color codes, gender, stereotypes, giant corporations, etc).

i'm going to have to read about post-modernism and question the assumption of "what is a chair", etc.
and figure out what i want to do for my project. :OOOOO

 this is the "fishbowl" lecture room - it's cool because there are 4 projectors, 1 for each wall.

and these are the lights in the library study room.

i borrowed some books, went home, ate bacon rice, then called my parents and grandma. :)
