yesterday i took a bus to meet auntie P.
there were chatterbox Chinese and Malaysians behind me, and it almost felt like home. hah!
the bus stops aren't as grand as the Singaporean ones. but they have timetables posted, which is very useful.
we had Nando's for lunch.
when i wanted to go dutch, auntie P said i can just pay for her bubble tea (buy it from Utopia at A$4+, it's very popular with the kids). :)
then she took me to her local Rivers (cheap clothing store), where she told me not to let her buy anything.
the shopping is nice - really glad i got to know about it from auntie D.
this is what my total weekend haul looked like.
2 tops, 2 shorts, 1 skirt, shoes, linen set, 10kg rice (lol), Shao's favorite carrots (70cents), etc.
i slept very well at auntie P's house :) - clocked a 3 hour afternoon nap + a 10 hour night to morning there.
the shows on television are not bad too - watched The Sorcerer's Appreciate, which Hidemi told me about, and the latest American Idol in the morning.
there was also a news report on the lack of laws protecting Indian women, including the police failing to safeguard women's rights. there was 1 case where the men behind a horrific acid attack on a beautiful sociology student (she rebuffed their advances) were released early for no good reason - /outraged!!! D-<
hope the citizens can get the politicians work harder on this national problem.
on the way back to my flat, Frodo enjoyed the car ride. such a majestic face.
he was half-standing on my lap.
and that's Canning river, i think.
later, i will post a price list of the stuff i bought for comparison's sake.
